  • By law, complete a pre-counseling class required before filing a bankruptcy. We can assist you in where and how this can be completed. You can do it online, telephone or in-person. This is a required new step to file a bankruptcy.

  • Your case is filed with the Court.

  • You will receive a letter from us informing you of the date, time and location of your Meeting of Creditors.

  • After the 60 days for objections has elapsed, the Trustee will submit a recommendation or objection to the case. You and your attorney will then have 30 days to make any necessary adjustments and submit a proposed stipulated order for confirmation. If this order is approved by the Trustee and the Judge, then your case is "confirmed."
